I took this photo the morning after prom, 2009. Last night I was looking through all my photos from the summers of 08 + 09. I’m glad we (my friends and I) were kids who spent most of our time outside, wether it was climbing up into empty, abandoned train barracks, or ending pretty much every summer evening laying around on my front lawn. Sometimes a guitar was involved if it wasn’t ‘too late’. I was in a literal garage band, where it was something that we did because it just simply cleared out our heads after long days. It’s definitely mind blowing to see how much has changed since then. Things I’ve accomplished, things that might have scarred me, people that I no longer talk to, people who came into my life since, and people who are still very close to me this day. I’m thrilled to say that it is a happy thing to ‘look back’. I’m happy with how things turned out, and it’s nice to just accept that I had great times with people that I was close with at the time. Those moments don’t have to last forever, because the memory will stick with you, and there’s a lot more ‘world’ out there for you to explore anyway.
